Report on the Event
We met under a stunning blue sky, thanks in part to a LOT of prayers & crossed fingers and toes, for a glorious Spring day run through the Adelaide hills. 18 cars met at Unley Oval, including Richard Amber and Anne Andrew who joined us for their first run. We departed at 9.30am heading up Belair Road, passing through Belair, Cherry Gardens, Clarendon and Meadows, meeting up with another 5 cars along the way before stopping for morning tea at The Greenman Inn, Ashbourne.
After a very enjoyable morning tea, we again hit the road to make our way to our lunch venue at Carmel’s Café, Bar & Grill in McLaren Vale, where we were joined by yet another car. Along the way we made an unscheduled stop on a long stretch of Pambula Road to allow a few cars to catch up, & to give us an opportunity for a few photos. Due to a missed turn at Range Road, we found Pottery Road, another good MX-5 road, before arriving at Carmel’s for a relaxing lunch.
Thanks to everyone who joined us, to help make it another enjoyable MX-5 Run.
